The Background
During my time at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry I worked on many web and marketing projects. The South West Society for Primary Academic Care hold an annual research meeting and require a website to promote the event, provide detailed information to attendees and offer a point of contact and method of requesting a booking.
I was tasked with building the 2012 research meeting website.
The Result
The website was hard coded in HTML and CSS and used PHP to make the pages dynamic and create the contact form and JQuery for the home page slider.
The website showcases the beautiful city of Plymouth where it was held and contains all the information required for the event. The website was designed and developed without a face to face meeting with the client. This presented its challenges but proved invaluable experience with email and telephone being the primary methods of communication.
The site was maintained by myself so didn’t require a content management system element especially due to the site’s relatively short life.
